Blender’s Notes Eye Health WIP:
Steep Me Self Help Tea combinations are a great way to get health benefits outside of the standard tea leaf. The blends in our Work in Progress section are still in their testing phases….We would love for you to try the blends and give us feedback on how you felt they were working. All of our teas go thru a thorough testing phase to ensure we are finding success in the combination. Once we have 100 people or more testing the blend and we are starting to see the same results in 60 or more of the testers…these blends will move to the Self Help section.
This blend has been successful already but want to make sure we see enough results to ensure it positive effects. Please let us know how you are feeling or if you have any testing done – your results – we would love to keep track for our other clients. Please send all updates to [email protected]. Thanks for trying.
The blend was built to help maintain and improve eye health including glaucoma, cataracts and pressure balancing. This blend has Eyebright which gets its name from the flowers that look like eyes. This herb is a powerful medicine when it comes to preserving eyesight. Studies have shown what has been believed for years: that this herb soothes itchy or red eyes, such as those suffering from conjunctivitis. We added Gingko which has been used for centuries for problems with the central nervous system as well as a remedy for eye problems. Ginkgo is a selective vascular dilator that increases circulation and blood flow to the back of the eye. Ginkgo has been associated with improvements for those suffering from both glaucoma and macular degeneration. By using gingko to help alleviate eye strain will improve your overall vision because tired, strained eyes do not perform at their best! Fennel has been added because it is an anti-inflammatory herb that also relieves pain and sensitivity. Fennel has long been said to provide relief from watery or inflamed eyes, as well as strengthen them. Bilberry has been commonly used for treating cataracts and conditions in the retina. Bilberry is used to enhance your normal vision as well as your night vision. Chinese Sencha contains antioxidants, which mop up free radicals—substances that create the so-called oxidative damage underlying many chronic diseases, including glaucoma, macular degeneration, and cataracts. Chrysanthemum may help with blurring vision; eye irritation and conjunctivitis and Calendula can help combat eye fatigue. Passionflower is a great herb for eye strain. This herb helps to prevent irritation and works as a nerve relaxer. Using herbs that help alleviate eye strain will improve your overall vision because tired, strained eyes do not perform at their best! Goldenseal is a natural antibiotic. Scientists show us that this ancient herb, used by the Native Americans for hundreds of years, has anti-inflammatory, astringent and antibiotic compounds that can be terrific when it comes to improving eye health. Coleus Powder have been shown to reduce the production of fluid within the eye, thereby reducing pressure. Helping in the treatment of glaucoma and finally we added Jaborandi which may help treat glaucoma and Triphala which may help with cataracts.
We have had one of our customers who has used it over the last 12 months to help improve her pressure in her eyes. With her consistent use she has seen improvement in how her eyes feel and her vision. This is a maintenance tea and should be drank daily.

Recommended Use
Hi and thank you for choosing Steep Me a Cup of Tea.
I wanted to give a little use information on the tea you chose.
A serving size is considered 2-3 teaspoons in 12-18 ounces of water, this tea likes 200+ degrees for 10 minutes. We do not spray flavorings on our teas, so time is crucial as we are using wild crafted/organic teas and herbs. Once the 10 minutes is up, the tea likes to stay in your “bath” of choice and continue soaking, start drinking me and keeping adding water. Once my 10 minutes in hot water is up, feel free to pour me over ice, leave me in the water and keep adding them cold water as I will make more than cup.
The Eye Health Tea was built with some green tea, so it is not caffeine free. We recommend that you drink it consistently – so daily is best. The tea can be drinking all day but, probably not before bed since it may keep you awake! I am safe for all ages!!
Thanks for supporting Steep Me a Cup of Tea!!!
