Blender’s Notes Baby Delivery Aid Capsule:
Steep Me Self-help Tea combinations are a wonderful way to get health benefits outside of the standard tea leaf. In this combination of herbs, we are helping the Pregnant Mommy during her last 2 weeks of their pregnancy to start getting the body ready for delivery. Baby Delivery Aid has enhanced herbs to really allow the baby to settle into pelvic bowl. There are herbs to help thin the cervix, help tonify the uterine muscles, help ripen the cervix, enhance uterine contraction activity, nourishing the body and support milk production. In this blend we started with Black Cohosh. Black Cohosh acts as a uterine tonic and it helps to prepare the uterus for contracting. It stimulates labor by gently encouraging the labor process and benefits the hormonal pathways ensuring a productive delivery. Next, we added Nettles. Nettles are considered a nutritive tonic. Nutritive, meaning it is an herb that is nutrient-dense (like a food) and tonic, implying that you can take it daily and long term. Nettles are packed with minerals such as iron, potassium, magnesium, calcium, and phosphorous, as well as Vitamin A, various B vitamins, Vitamin C, and amino acids. This plant strengthens and builds blood cells throughout the body, which increases oxygen flow and overall vitality. Additionally, nettles can help regulate the body’s natural rhythms, reduce stomach pain, and stress, and promote healthy liver function. This is phenomenal ingredient for both the birthing mom and baby. Nettles are also known to reduce the risk of postpartum hemorrhages. Rosehips was also added because it regulates sugar levels, it is anti-inflammatory, anti-diabetic, anti-cancer, and antioxidant.
Red Raspberry leaf because it is incredibly supportive of the birthing body. It is a uterine tonic, meaning it helps the uterus to function optimally. It strengthens the uterine and pelvic muscles, helping to alleviate cramps (try for PMS relief too!). It is astringent, meaning it tightens and tones tissue. Red Raspberry Leaf helps soothe and relax the body and promote a steady rhythm with its slight sedative and softening qualities. It can be helpful during nausea, anxiety, insomnia, or to help unwind and lay back. Finally, it is a galactagogue, meaning it enhances breastmilk production. Red raspberry leaf is also known to promote fertility and help prevent miscarriages and is high in magnesium. Next, we included Black Cumin. Black Cumin has anti-inflammatory, anti-carcinogenic, anti-septic, anti-bacterial properties and is high in antioxidants. It is also high in protein, fiber, B vitamins, vitamin E, iron, magnesium, and manganese. Black Cumin can help with liver detoxification, Boost metabolism, Balance hormones, increase brain health, Aid digestion, Calm nerves, relieve constipation, improve energy, Treat iron deficiency, Relieve the symptoms of cold and flu, Boost the immune system, increase breastmilk production (possibly due to providing high iron) and Treats symptoms of colic in infants. Whew – lots of great stuff. Next, we have Passionflower. Passionflower is believed to help reduce the intensity of contractions and potentially shorten the duration of labor. Finally, we added Alfalfa. Alfalfa contains a variety of minerals including iron, calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, sulfur, chlorine, sodium, potassium, silicon, and trace elements. It is also a good source of vitamin E, vitamin C, and vitamin K, which is necessary for blood clotting, it contains the highest chlorophyll content of any plant supporting healthy digestion ~ easing morning sickness ~ increasing milk supply during nursing ~ supplementing vitamin K while drinking it and helps improve baby’s vitamin K levels at birth ~ supporting the pituitary gland for enhanced endocrine health.
Many Many Many of our customers who use all our pregnancy teas have stated over and over that they feel that their labor was shorter and smoother at the end. The tea and its effective herbs made a difference in how the baby came and how they feel for recovery after the baby was born.
