Steep Me Self-Help combinations are a wonderful way to get health benefits outside of the standard tea leaf. In this combination of herbs, we really wanted to offer a blend to provide supporting herbs to directly helps with maintaining a healthy heart. Heart disease is a variety of issues that can affect your heart. When people think about heart disease, they often think of the most common type — coronary artery disease (CAD) and the heart attacks it can cause. But you can have trouble with various parts of your heart, like your heart muscle, valves, or electrical system. When your heart is not working well, it has trouble sending enough blood, oxygen, and nutrients to your body. In a way, your heart delivers the fuel that keeps your body’s systems running. If there is a problem with delivering that fuel, it affects everything your body’s systems do. Lifestyle changes and medications can keep your heart healthy and lower your chances of getting heart disease. What are the types of heart disease? Heart disease types include Narrowing of your heart’s blood vessels because of fatty deposits (coronary artery disease). Abnormal heart rhythms (arrhythmias). Heart valve diseases. Abnormal heart muscle (cardiomyopathy). Heart squeezing and relaxation difficulties (heart failure). Heart issues you have at birth (congenital heart disease). Issues with the fluid-filled sac surrounding your heart (pericardium). You can have different symptoms of heart disease depending on what is wrong. Heart disease symptoms may include Pounding or racing heart (palpitations). Sweating. Lightheadedness. Shortness of breath. Dizziness or sudden unexplained loss of consciousness. Chest or upper body pain, pressure, heaviness, or discomfort. Neck pain. Heartburn or indigestion. Nausea or vomiting. Swelling in your lower body. Exhaustion. Difficulty sleeping. Inability to manage exercise. Fever. Some types of heart disease can lead to other kinds of heart disease. Complications of heart disease — many of which are life-threatening — include: Heart attack. Heart failure. Cardiomyopathy. Stroke. Abnormal heart rhythms. Cardiogenic shock. Cardiac arrest. Heart valve disease. Pulmonary hypertension. Damage to your kidneys or liver. In this blend we used a combination of Chinese Zhen Mei Green tea with Caffeine-Free Chinese Red Rooibos are known to be the best combo of teas for heart health. Drinking rooibos tea daily has been linked to lower blood pressure, improved cholesterol levels, and reduced risk of developing cardiovascular disease. Rooibos tea contains chrysoeriol, a flavonoid that decreases blood pressure and improves blood circulation. It also helps reduce LDL or bad cholesterol and improve HDL or good cholesterol. These benefits can protect against heart conditions, including heart attacks and strokes. Green tea is often praised for its potential heart health benefits. Green tea can help lower LDL cholesterol and triglycerides, which are linked to a reduced risk of heart disease. Regular consumption of green tea has been associated with a lower risk of cardiovascular diseases. The flavonoids and catechins in green tea can improve blood vessel function and reduce inflammation, both of which are beneficial for heart health. Green tea is rich in antioxidants, which help prevent cell damage and reduce inflammation. With the above teas we added in Hawthorne. Hawthorne is often referred to as “the heart herb” due to its numerous benefits for cardiovascular health. Hawthorn can increase coronary artery blood flow, which improves circulation and ensures that the heart muscles receive adequate oxygen It acts as a vasodilator, meaning it helps relax and widen blood vessels, which can lower blood pressure. Hawthorn has been shown to help control high cholesterol levels, which is crucial for preventing heart disease and the flavonoids in hawthorn may enhance the heart muscle’s ability to contract, which can be beneficial for conditions like congestive heart failure. Its anti-inflammatory effects can reduce inflammation in the cardiovascular system, which is linked to many heart conditions. Garlic has been shown to help reduce high blood pressure, which is a major risk factor for heart disease. The sulfur compounds in garlic, such as allicin, are believed to help relax blood vessels and improve blood flow. Garlic has been linked to lower levels of total and LDL (bad) cholesterol. This can help prevent the buildup of plaque in the arteries. Garlic may help reduce the risk of atherosclerosis, which is the hardening or narrowing of the arteries due to plaque buildup. This is crucial for maintaining healthy blood flow and preventing heart attacks and strokes and it has anti-inflammatory effects, which can help reduce inflammation in the cardiovascular system and lower the risk of heart disease. Cinnamon is rich in antioxidants, which help protect the heart from oxidative stress. This can reduce inflammation in the arteries, improving blood flow and reducing the risk of heart attack and stroke. Cinnamon may help lower total cholesterol, LDL (bad) cholesterol, and triglycerides. This can be particularly beneficial for those with metabolic diseases and can also help manage blood sugar levels, which is important for overall cardiovascular health.
White Willow is a natural remedy for pain and inflammation. It contains salicin, a compound like aspirin, which is known for its anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties. Chronic inflammation is a risk factor for many cardiovascular diseases. The anti-inflammatory properties of white willow bark can help reduce this risk. White willow bark contains polyphenolic glycosides and flavonoids, which are antioxidants that help protect against oxidative stress. This can be beneficial for overall cardiovascular health. White willow bark may help maintain healthy blood pressure and cholesterol levels, which are crucial for heart health. Bilberries contain vitamin K, which can help prevent blood clots that could cause a heart attack or stroke. The anthocyanins in bilberries may also help reduce cholesterol and lower blood pressure. Managing your cholesterol levels and blood pressure can reduce your risk for atherosclerosis and other heart-related problems. Gingko may benefit heart health and circulation due to its strong antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. It has the potential to improve blood flow and reduce blood pressure, which may positively affect heart health. Ginkgo biloba is mostly used in treating vascular diseases such as peripheral vascular disease and varicose veins. It improves blood flow by preventing restriction of the blood vessels, thereby relieving pain and discomfort associated with the disease. We included Steep Me Seaweed Blend because it is known to contribute positively to heart health. Omega-3 fatty acids found in seaweed are critical for reducing inflammation that can lead to heart disease. Additionally, its compounds have been associated with lowering LDL cholesterol levels and blood pressure, both of which are risk factors for cardiovascular diseases.
California Poppy is known for its calming effects on the nervous system, which can indirectly benefit heart health. By calming the nervous system, California poppy can help slow down a rapid heart rate and relieve palpitations and contribute to lowering blood pressure. The sedative effects of California poppy can promote overall relaxation, which is beneficial for heart health. Ginger root has several potential benefits for heart which it may help lower blood pressure and reduce cholesterol levels, both of which are important for maintaining heart health. Ginger can help improve blood circulation by relaxing blood vessels and stimulating heart muscle contractility.
