Blender’s Notes Muscle Recovery:
Steep Me Self Help Tea combinations are a great way to get health benefits outside of the standard tea leaf. This combination of herbs helps the body with helping the delayed onset muscle soreness that can come with a tough workout or a tough day at work. We combined our high antioxidant blend of tea call Berry Plush which contains raspberry, blueberry and pomegranate giving it a great fruity taste but also high antioxidant. We then paired this blend with extra Rhodiola and Damiana which are the best herbs to help with recovery and healing of the body. They are great for reducing soreness, pain management and allowing the body to feel better to do it all again the next day. This blend is great hot or cold. Plus, we also made it into a pickle brine called Dill-Aid – which this tea is steeped with or proprietary all-natural hand canned pickle brine. This brine has no curing salts and fresh garlic and dill and is a wonderful way to deliver the health benefits of Muscle Recovery in a tasty form.
In this blend we included Ashwagandha as a critical supplement for everyone from elite athletes to ordinary people who are just trying to stay in shape. An adaptogen is an herb that balances androgen in the body, and this helps people to react in a healthier manner to stress in all its many forms. This is critical because stress causes the body to flood with the stress hormone known as cortisol. When the body has too much cortisol, it is far more resistant to fat burning. Studies suggest that regular use of ashwagandha builds muscle endurance and strength. Ashwagandha also is a fantastic herb for workout recovery. It protects the body from repetitive strain, building the foundation for intensity increases in the future. Frequently, people who extensively use ashwagandha find that they feel less overall fatigue after working out. It is designed for calming; this is perfect for helping your body absorb the stress of a workout or to promote restful sleep. Rhodiola is an adaptogens, so supplementing with them helps the body to adapt to stress. Many of these have been used for centuries in Scandinavian countries and Russia to treat depression, anxiety, and fatigue. Rhodiola beneficial effects on feelings of fatigue are well documented. Any athletes who experience considerable physical fatigue after workouts may find that their energy levels are better regulated when they supplement with Rhodiola. Moreover, Rhodiola helps with recovery after a workout. Burdock Root helps you sweat more, therefore helping your body to eliminate harmful toxins that are in your body. It also helps to promote healthy muscle function, decreasing the chance of tears and strains. By supplementing with Burdock Root, you can increase muscle mass more effective than you would without it. Frankincense is used to inhibit enzymes to promote a healthier inflammatory response. Among the other benefits of Indian Frankincense is improved blood flow to connective tissues. This supports healthier joints so that they experience less pain and inflammation. Accordingly, people who regularly supplement with Boswellia may have fewer joint concerns. Less joint pain will contribute to being able to engage in more strenuous workouts and a lifetime of healthy exercise. Studies suggest that Boswellia’s positive effects on human health are numerous. The active components in the herb are believed to help with apoptosis, which is the culmination of the life cycle of a healthy cell. This promotes the growth of healthy tissue, which may be key for adding muscle size and density. In fact, it is wise to combine turmeric with Boswellia for maximum effect. And Turmeric can ease inflammation. Curcumins are an active component of the herb. Not only do they give turmeric its distinctive yellow hue, but they also they provide essential antioxidant support that helps with a healthy inflammatory response. Inflammation is a natural part of the post-workout process. Healthy inflammation is what helps muscles to get bigger and stronger, which also makes them more resilient. Problems, like muscle soreness, occur when the inflammatory response goes into overdrive. Turmeric regulates this process, keeping everything in line so that muscles can grow and recover without getting sore. reduces inflammation (helpful for running, for weight loss, for an injury), improves joint function, acts as a natural pain killer.
We also added Corydalis Root because it is useful for reducing the discomfort of over training or stress. As athletes we must find ways to decrease both life and workout stress to keep from pushing our bodies too far. A little stress is where we find growth and the stress from too many angles at once is when we shoot our cortisol sky high and start to have all kinds of issues from adrenal fatigue to holding on to belly fat. Damiana Leaf can help improve the defenses of the body against stress. Moreover, it helps to relieve the symptoms of depression, anxiety, nervousness, and even insomnia. In fact, it also relieves muscle tension or headaches. Maca has beneficial effects before, during and after a workout. Maca is an apoptogenic herb, which means that it helps the human body to cope with stress whether it is mental, emotional, or physical. Maca further has muscle-building properties that help people to put on size and increase muscular endurance. Much of this muscle growth occurs after working out, so maca is a critical part of any recovery period. And finally, Oat straw, which is a natural stress reliever, which helps against depression, anxiety, neurological pain, and some other problems. The pharmacology of oat straw shows the rich amount of nutrients such as calcium, which gives it a healing effect for arthritis, osteoporosis, and osteoarthritis.

Hi and thank you for choosing Steep Me a Cup of Tea.
I wanted to give a little use information on the tea you chose.
A serving size is considered 2-3 teaspoons in 12-18 ounces of water, this tea likes 200+ degrees for 10 minutes. We don’t spray flavorings on our teas, so time is crucial as we are using wild crafted/organic teas and herbs. Once the 10 minutes is up, the tea likes to stay in your “bath” of choice and continue soaking, start drinking me and keep adding water. Once my 10 minutes in hot water is up, feel free to pour me over ice, leave me in the water and keep adding cold water as I will make more than cup.
The Muscle Recovery was built to help reduce DOMS and ensure recovery happens quickly. I like to be drank after a heavy workout to start helping you to recover. But I am a great choice before bed. I work well while you sleep.
Thanks for supporting Steep Me a Cup of Tea!!!
