Blender’s Notes Celiac Management ~WIP:
Steep Me Self Help Tea combinations are a great way to get health benefits outside of the standard tea leaf. The blends in our Work in Progress section are still in their testing phases…. We would love for you to try the blends and give us feedback on how you felt they were working. All of our teas go thru a thorough testing phase to ensure we are finding success in the combination. Once we have 100 people or more testing the blend and we are starting to see the same results in 60 or more of the testers…these blends will move to the Self-Help section.
The Celiac Management tea was built to help with Celiac disease or coeliac disease is an autoimmune condition where the small intestine is unable to correctly recognize and metabolize gluten. The body’s immune system starts to treat the gluten as “dangerous” and tries to eliminate it. This causes inflammation in the small intestine, along with severe abdominal pain, digestive distress, diarrhea, among other symptoms. As with many autoimmune diseases, this is your own body attacking itself, and as such, it is very difficult to cure. Celiac disease is often associated with other diseases like enteritis and colitis, as well as various other autoimmune diseases that often result from non-treatment or lack of awareness of a celiac condition. We also added herbs to help improve your gut health. We are striving for a balance in all aspects of your digestive system. Including the mouth, esophagus, stomach, pancreas, liver, gallbladder, small intestine, large intestine (colon), and rectum.
In this blend we added Goldenseal and Olive leaf which are commonly used in the treatment of celiac disease because they help to regulate and protect the immune system, thereby reducing the autoimmune effects on the small intestine. Chamomile is another good herb to reduce digestive inflammation and upset stomachs that are associated with celiac disease. We added Chamomile because it is a mild bitter which helps improve digestion and helps to reduce digestive inflammation and upset stomachs that are associated with celiac disease. Great at killing Candida Yeast. Dandelion Root may help boost the body’s ability to encourage the growth of a healthy gut biome and increases bile production. It may help reduce inflammation, gas, and constipation. Flax Seed was added because it may help reset the gut, restoring balance, and promoting optimal health. Flax seeds are high in fiber and omega-3 fatty acids, both of which can help to improve digestion, reduce inflammation, and increase beneficial bacteria in the gut. Garlic will help promote the growth of friendly bacteria bifidobacterial in the gut and prevent disease-promoting bacteria from growing at the same time. Garlic is naturally high in inulin, a type of non-digestible carbohydrate or “functional fiber” that feeds the good bacteria in your digestive system. Basically, it acts as fuel for those bacteria to do their job better, which makes your gut function better overall.
In addition, we added Horsetail because it reduces the inflammation of the digestive tract and the intestines, while also boosting the strength and durability of the digestive system, so your system is less sensitive to gluten. Burdock Root because it works well as a source of inulin, a prebiotic fiber that aids digestion and improves gut health. Additionally, this root contains flavonoids (plant nutrients), phytochemicals, and antioxidants that are known to reduce inflammation. Elecampane can help with other gut disorders. It not only kills “bad” bacteria in the gut like E. coli but helps increase amounts of “good” bacteria like Lactobacillus. And finally, we added Sarsaparilla, Cleavers, and Nettles have been added because of their antibacterial and ant inflammatory qualities.

Recommended Use
A serving size is considered 2-3 teaspoons in 12-18 ounces of water, this tea likes 200+ degrees for 10 minutes. We do not spray flavorings on our teas, so time is crucial as we are using wild crafted/organic teas and herbs. Once the 10 minutes is up, the tea likes to stay in your “bath” of choice and continue soaking, start drinking me and keep adding water. Once my 10 minutes in hot water is up, feel free to pour me over ice, leave me in the water and keep adding cold water as I will make more than cup.
