Steep Me Self Help Tea combinations are a wonderful way to get health benefits outside of the standard tea leaf. We have developed a Lubricating and Soothing Eye Drop. These drops will provide aid for dry eyes and a soft and soothing oil to ensure any irritation can be managed. We use Nature as an abundant resource, filled with miraculous solutions for any eye concerns. With all natural ingredients that give you natural nourishment and protection. We are trying to help Reduce eye discharge ~ Lubricate your eyes and reduce friction so parts of your eyes move more smoothly ~ Soften tissues around your eyes to prevent more irritation ~ Treat inflammation ~ Balance fluid levels ~ Nourish Hair Follicles ~ Irrigate and flush the eye.

We based this Eye Drop on Castor Oil. Castor Oil is one of the most well-known benefits of castor oil for eyes is its ability to moisturize and lubricate the delicate skin around the eyes. This helps to alleviate the discomfort associated with dry eyes. Castor oil helps stabilize the tear film on the surface of the eye, preventing tears from evaporating too quickly. This can lead to improved symptoms of dry eyes and a more comfortable overall eye feel. Meibomian glands, located along the eyelid margins, play a crucial role in producing the oily layer of the tear film. Castor oil can help improve meibomian gland function and reduce the symptoms of meibomian gland dysfunction, a common cause of dry eyes. The oil’s anti-inflammatory properties help unclog blocked glands. This allows them to produce the necessary oils to maintain a healthy tear film. Blepharitis, or inflammation of the eyelids, can cause discomfort, redness, and irritation. A 2021 study suggested that applying castor oil twice daily for 4 weeks could help reduce blepharitis symptoms. The oil’s antimicrobial properties help combat the bacteria that contribute to blepharitis. Plus, Castor oil can also help dissolve crusts that form along the eyelid margins, a common symptom of blepharitis. The antioxidants, proteins, vitamins, fatty acids, and nutrients in castor oil can nourish hair follicles and promote the growth of longer, thicker eyelashes. Regular application of castor oil to the lashes can help prevent breakage and encourage healthy growth. The oil’s ricinoleic acid content stimulates blood circulation around the hair follicles, providing them with the necessary nutrients for optimal growth. Many users report seeing significant improvements in the length and thickness of their lashes after just a few weeks of consistent use. The anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties of castor oil can help soothe irritated eyes. This provides relief from redness, itching, and discomfort. Whether your eyes are irritated due to allergies, environmental factors, or other causes, castor oil can help calm and heal the delicate skin around your eyes. The antioxidants in castor oil may help slow the progression of cataracts, a common age-related eye condition that causes cloudy vision. Cataracts form when proteins in the eye’s lens begin to clump together, causing the lens to become cloudy and obscuring vision. The antioxidants in castor oil, such as vitamin E, may help protect the lens from oxidative damage and slow down the formation of cataracts. However, it is important to note that castor oil should not be used as a substitute for proper medical treatment of cataracts. 16 Benefits of Castor Oil for Eyes and How to Use It Safely (naturalremedyideas.com)

The blend was built to help maintain and improve eye health including glaucoma, cataracts, and pressure balancing. This blend has Eyebright which gets its name from the flowers that look like eyes. This herb is a powerful medicine when it comes to preserving eyesight. Studies have shown what has been believed for years: that this herb soothes itchy or red eyes, such as those suffering from conjunctivitis. We added Gingko which has been used for centuries for problems with the central nervous system as well as a remedy for eye problems. Ginkgo is a selective vascular dilator that increases circulation and blood flow to the back of the eye. Ginkgo has been associated with improvements for those suffering from both glaucoma and macular degeneration. By using gingko to help alleviate eye strain will improve your overall vision because tired, strained eyes do not perform at their best! Fennel has been added because it is an anti-inflammatory herb that also relieves pain and sensitivity. Fennel has long been said to provide relief from watery or inflamed eyes, as well as strengthen them. Bilberry has been commonly used for treating cataracts and conditions in the retina. Bilberry is used to enhance your normal vision as well as your night vision. Chinese Sencha contains antioxidants, which mop up free radicals—substances that create the so-called oxidative damage underlying many chronic diseases, including glaucoma, macular degeneration, and cataracts. Chrysanthemum may help with blurring vision; eye irritation and conjunctivitis and Calendula can help combat eye fatigue. Passionflower is a great herb for eye strain. This herb helps to prevent irritation and works as a nerve relaxer. Using herbs that help alleviate eye strain will improve your overall vision because tired, strained eyes do not perform at their best! Goldenseal is a natural antibiotic. Scientists show us that this ancient herb, used by the Native Americans for hundreds of years, has anti-inflammatory, astringent and antibiotic compounds that can be terrific when it comes to improving eye health. Coleus Powder has been shown to reduce the production of fluid within the eye, thereby reducing pressure. Helping in the treatment of glaucoma and finally we added Jaborandi which may help treat glaucoma and Triphala which may help with cataracts. We also included Amla Berries. Amla Berries are rich in vitamin A, which is key to improving eye health. Vitamin A not only improves vision, but it also may lower the risk of age-related macular degeneration. Amla’s vitamin C content aids in eye health by fighting bacteria, which can help to protect your eyes from conjunctivitis (pink eye) and other infections. Cucumbers have also been added because they are very Soothing and Hydrating.

Tisane or Herbal Tea or Self-Help Tea

  • Naturally Caffeine Free – unless specified
  • Can be a powerful source of hydration
  • Many self-help teas are based on multiple herbs giving a natural solution
  • Great taste and can be steeped for long period of time
  • Great options for kids who are learning to like tea
  • Can taste like anything you want it to

When talking about the many types of tea, Tisane (Herbal Infusion) or Herbal Tea or Self-Help Tea is really not tea at all.  It is made like a tea and all the same items are used to make it, but it does not contain the Camellia Sinensis Plant (unless stated), but is simply roots, flowers, leaves, and fruits put together is a combination that is made just like a tea.  With that being said…the health benefits of a Tisane or Herbal teas are different.  They can vary depending on the ingredients and combination of herbs so there are no blanket health benefits – just depends on the ingredients.

For many, the best part of Tisane or Herbal Tea or Self-Help Tea is the fact that it is caffeine free naturally.  Of course there are herbs that can be added to change that.  The most popular Herbal teas include Chamomile, Peppermint, Spearmint, and any combination of fruit blends or infusions.  Our Self-Help Teas are simply supplemental herbal combinations to aid with an occasional ailment specific to what may be happening in your life.  The teas are built to work and are not build with any specific flavorings.  The blends are tested to the minimum requirements laid out by Steep Me A Cup of Tea.  The taste provided is natural to the herbs present in the blend.  No flavorings added.
