Blender’s Notes Pregnancy Nutrition:
Steep Me Self Help Tea combinations are a great way to get health benefits outside of the standard tea leaf. This combination of herbs helps to give the new mom great nourishing herbs to help support her and the baby during pregnancy!
We added Red Raspberry Leaf – it contains the alkaloid fragrine, which can help strengthen the uterus as well as the pelvic area. It can also help ease menstrual discomfort, improve reproductive health, balance hormones and may prevent miscarriage by strengthening and toning the uterine wall. Because the uterus needs a lot of vitamins and minerals to function properly, red raspberry leaf tea has almost all of them. We added Nettle Leaf which contains many vitamins and minerals important to pregnancy plus it can assist in helping with nausea, bloating and constipation. Nettle leaves are a storehouse of nutrition, with high iron and calcium contents, as well as an excellent source of folic acid, an essential nutrient during pregnancy. Nettle Leaf can strengthen the kidneys and adrenals, while it relieves fluid retention. Because nettle also supports the vascular system, it can prevent varicose veins and hemorrhoids. Also, in the blend we added Oat straw which provides lots of vitamins and minerals including folate and pantothenic acid and it can help with stress or depression, it does this by nourishing and strengthen your central nervous system. It can also help with maintaining the digestive system. We added Chamomile which has high doses of antioxidants, that can help with sleep, and have anti-inflammatory properties. Chamomile tea is known to have a calming effect and help prevent colds and other illnesses. Ginger Root to help relieve nausea and vomiting and may be an effective remedy for morning sickness associated with pregnancy and has been shown to help relieve pain from uterine cramping, which many pregnant women experience in the first trimester. Lemon Balm which has a minty and fresh taste and can help make you feel relaxed and hydrated. It can help improve mood and brain function. Help reduce insomnia and sooth menstrual cramps. It is a great source of antioxidants. Alfalfa can provide a good dose of vitamin K that is necessary for the baby’s growth, morning sickness can be reduced, it can help substantially strengthen the immune system, it can bring down blood pressure and improves the digestion process.
Rosehips are rich in Vitamin C, which can improve your immunity. It can help the expecting mother, who is susceptible to various infections, get healthier and fight infections better naturally. Red Clover red clover can be considered one of nature’s best vitamin and mineral supplements, as it contains beta-carotene, calcium, vitamin C, a whole spectrum of B vitamins, and essential trace minerals such as magnesium, manganese, zinc, copper, and selenium. Red Clover can prevent and eases constipation so common during pregnancy. It also strengthens the liver and improves appetite, especially when morning sickness is a problem. And it relieves anxiety. It will also produce abundant breast milk as well as keep mother feeling relaxed and healthy all through pregnancy. Dandelion Root can increase digestion and promotes bile to relieve constipation. It is one of the best herbs for cleansing and strengthening the liver, our main detoxifying organ. Dandelion is a diuretic and can help relieve fluid retention. Because of its high potassium content, it does not deplete the body of this important mineral, as other diuretics are known to do. Linden Flowers is added because it can be helpful for bloating, flatulence, heartburn and constipation and may soothe digestive discomfort and heartburn. Linden Flowers do function as a diaphoretic to induce sweating, but the increased body temperature may help support the immune system’s fight against infections. It also contains farnesol, which is an antispasmodic and sedative. This may be ideal for anxiety or irritability that can come with pregnancy.

Great herbs to use during pregnancy! 9 Best Herbs During Pregnancy | The Prenatal Nutritionist
Recommended Use
Hi and thank you for choosing Steep Me a Cup of Tea.
I wanted to give a little use information on the tea you chose.
A serving size is considered 2-3 teaspoons in 12-18 ounces of water, this tea likes 200+ degrees for 10 minutes. We don’t spray flavorings on our teas, so time is crucial as we are using wild crafted/organic teas and herbs. Once the 10 minutes is up, the tea likes to stay in your “bath” of choice and continue soaking, start drinking me and keeping adding water. Once my 10 minutes in hot water is up, feel free to pour me over ice, leave me in the water and keep adding them cold water as I will make more than cup. The Pregnancy Nutrition Tea was built specifically for expecting mommies for the whole pregnancy. These herbs help with all the ups and downs that come with pregnancy. We recommend the following schedule of use: 1st Trimester 3x Week – 3tsp per cup, 2nd Trimester 5x Week – 3tsp per cup, 3rd Trimester Daily – 3tsp per cup, Prone to Miscarriage – Wait till Week 13
I am caffeine free, so perfectly safe to have me in the evenings or before bed. I can be used as many times daily as needed on those tough days.
Thanks for supporting Steep Me a Cup of Tea!!!
