Blender’s Notes Hitch ~ Women’s Tea ~~ GRAS Certified Ingredients:

Steep Me Self-Help combinations are a wonderful way to get health benefits outside of the standard tea leaf. The Hitch tea was built and evaluated to use in the Morning and Drank All Day. The Hitch Tea is meant to touch many aspects of women’s health – An Umbrella Tea – including inflammation, hormone balance, metabolism, sexual health, and anxiety, so having the first cup early in the day is more effective. This combination of herbs helps women over the age of 26 to obtain overall health from this blend. This was built as an umbrella or overall health option. For many women, as we get older, a few items tend to creep into our lives that may not have been apparent prior. When thinking about women’s health, there is a lot to consider. Knowing the diseases and conditions that are among the top health risks for women, such as heart disease and breast cancer, is important. But for many women, effectively managing other matters that affect daily health, such as premenstrual syndrome, birth control, fertility, menopause, and more, is also key to enjoying a vibrant life. This blend will touch a bit on Anxiety and Depression. This blend will touch a bit on sexual health, libido, and hormone balancing. With these items, we also look at digestive health, metabolism, sugar cravings, and sleep. All of these can change as we get older, and we wanted a tea option to help touch on them all and help get you back to a new normal!!!  Women experience a multitude of physical changes throughout their lives, from puberty to menopause and beyond. Hormonal fluctuations, menstrual cycles, fertility interests, and the stresses of daily life can all impact women. Fortunately, a healthy diet and lifestyle, including regular exercise, adequate rest, stress reduction, and herbs, offer a gentle yet effective way to help support women’s health through these transitions.

In this blend, we based it on several diverse types of teas. We added a blend of Sri Lankan Black Teas because having a cup of black tea per day is associated with a lower risk of developing ovarian cancer, one of the most common types of cancer in women. Next, we included a Blend of Dark Tea from Yunnan Province in China, aged through microbial fermentation, or Puerh Tea. Puerh Tea is a unique type of fermented tea traditionally made in Yunnan Province, China. It is made from the leaves of a tree known as the “wild old tree,” which grows in the region. It improves weight loss by synthesizing fewer new fats while burning more stored body fat. Pu-erh tea extracts may help reduce cholesterol levels. Pu-erh tea extracts have killed breast cancer, oral cancer, and colon cancer cells; it can help decrease fat accumulation; Pu-erh tea may help prevent or reverse nonalcoholic fatty liver disease, a disease in which excess fat accumulates in your liver. We also added a Blend of Red Rooibos Tea from Cedarburg Province in South Africa. Rooibos Tea is packed with potent antioxidants that support many avenues of health. Drinking rooibos tea may help protect the body against oxidative stress, support heart health, and manage blood glucose levels. And finally, we also included a Blend of Roasted Yerba Mate from Uruguay called Yerba Mate. Yerba Mate tea may have beneficial effects on cholesterol, weight loss, heart swelling (inflammation), and cancer risk.

Along with the previous teas, we also included various herbs to cover all our bases in our definition of women’s health. The first herb we included is Gymnema Sylvestre. Gymnema Sylvestre has outstanding hypoglycemic benefits that help maintain normal blood sugar levels, especially after meals. The herb’s capacity to lower body weight, prevent glucose absorption, and lessen sugar cravings, and Gymnema Sylvestre constituents can inhibit the buildup of triglycerides in the muscles and liver and reduce the buildup of fatty acids in the body; the herb affects the metabolism of fats and carbohydrates, and it could help lessen your sweet cravings if you are getting rid of sugar addiction.  Black Cohosh is included because it is renowned for supporting women’s reproductive health, including during menopause. Rosemary is included because it improves mood and relieves stress caused by hormonal imbalances in women. Rosemary helps with weight control and weight management, which can be immensely helpful for women after pregnancy. Sage was added because it can help reduce the risk of cancer in women, and it is also rich in nutrients and antioxidants, which help reduce bad cholesterol and improve brain health. Sage eases the intensity of menopause symptoms like pain and hot flashes. Sage is also used as a brain-enhancing tonic. We also added Dong Quai. Dong Quai, often referred to as “female ginseng,” is a staple in Chinese Medicine, known for its tonifying effects on the female reproductive system. Dong quai is prized for its ability to promote healthy menstruation and support overall reproductive health. It can also aid in dehydration, arthritis, and insomnia. Rhodiola is another adaptogenic herb, primarily used to boost brain function and improve energy levels. Rhodiola can reduce fatigue, improve mental performance and concentration, and lower cortisol (a stress hormone) in those with burnout and chronic fatigue syndrome. Rhodiola can be effective in managing menopausal symptoms due to its neuroprotective properties. Rhodiola was shown to improve memory, mental clarity, cognitive speed, energy, and mood, as well as libido and sexual function in menopausal and postmenopausal women.

This blend also has Yellow Dock. Yellow Dock was specifically used as a mild laxative, for cleansing the blood, and for skin issues. Yellow dock is a bitter herb that helps support bile secretion, which kickstarts the body’s digestion. Damiana has several constituents (parts) or compounds (chemicals), such as arbutin, pinocembrin, acacetin, apigenin, 7-glucoside, and Z-echinacin. These substances are responsible for how this plant works. has been promoted as an aphrodisiac.2 This means that damiana might improve sex drive (libido) and performance. Borage provides antioxidants such as kaempferol, as well as potent anti-inflammatory omega-6 fatty acids. Specifically, borage is the richest known plant source of gamma-linoleic acid (GLA). GLA helps modulate inflammation, which underlies conditions like arthritis, respiratory illness, cardiovascular disease, mood disorders, and more. Antioxidant compounds give borage free radical protection against aging and chronic disease. Minerals like calcium, potassium, and magnesium nourish bones, muscles, nerves, and cellular metabolism. Licorice Root has properties that support a healthy response to inflammation and a healthy normal immune system response. It may help soothe digestive discomfort and support adrenal health. Pau D’Arco is used for pain, inflammation, joint pain, prostate health, fever, ulcers, dysentery, and fighting off infections. Ginkgo is used because it may help promote healthy blood circulation, cognition, and an overall positive outlook. It may also support eye health, healthy menses, and the transition to menopause. St. John’s Wort is prized for its mood-enhancing properties and is commonly used to support an overall healthy outlook.

Black Cumin has antioxidant properties and supports a healthy immune system response and a healthy inflammatory response. It may help with healthy menstruation and promote overall well-being. Fenugreek contains compounds that can help promote healthy, normal lactation in breastfeeding women, promote healthy menstrual cycles, support the journey through menopause, and support digestive health. It possesses anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties that reduce menstrual cramps. Corydalis is a nervine, meaning it acts on your nervous system. Nervines like corydalis promote stress resilience and calmness. Corydalis has both stress and pain-relieving qualities. This means it is uniquely equipped to address the double-whammy of physical and mental tension that contributes to burnout among midlife women. Talk about a mood-supplement super herb! Corydalis contains over 80 identified alkaloids. These are active ingredients with a wide array of potential benefits for stress relief and more. One of the alkaloids in corydalis, THP, acts as a mild sedative. This compound promotes women’s stress relief and a feeling of well-being by interacting with dopamine receptors in the brain. It sends relaxing signals to your nervous system that release tension, reduce occasional anxiety symptoms, and can even promote sleep. Corydalis is an effective analgesic, or pain reliever. It works by temporarily quieting a specific kind of brainstem activity, which in turn increases the amount of pain necessary to put your brain on alert. It is frequently used for menstrual pain and headaches, but corydalis is a safe way to reduce all kinds of mild or moderate pain. Holy basil can be immensely helpful to women suffering from stomach cramps and menstrual pain. It is also a great herb to include in the diet to improve kidney function. Basil helps protect organs and tissues against chemical and physical stress during prolonged physical exertion in women. Next is Nettles. Nettles are a great herb for relaxing painful muscles and cramps, and they contain anti-pain and anti-arthritis properties. It gives the body a dose of iron and helps replace the nourishment lost during heavy bleeding.

In addition to the above items, we also included Turmeric. Turmeric is rich in healthy inflammation-supporting compounds and helps support joint health and comfort. Ginger Root because it is a great remedy for easing nausea, vomiting, and upset stomach; fresh teas relieve cold and flu symptoms. Steep Me Seaweed Blend because it can help reduce their LDL-cholesterol levels (the harmful stuff) and raise their HDL-cholesterol levels (the good stuff), and it’s rich in calcium, iodine, and iron. Shatavari Root is an adaptogenic herb revered as a rejuvenating herb for women, supporting reproductive health, menstrual regularity, and the menopausal transition. It is also believed to have adaptogenic properties that help manage stress. It may improve female reproductive health, specifically with hormonal balance, PCOS, and egg quality, and increase the body’s antioxidant levels. Shatavari is considered a galactagogue and has traditionally been used to increase prolactin levels (the breast milk production hormone) by more than threefold. The plant’s saponins, the active compounds found in shatavari, have been found to support healthy aging by reducing free-radical skin damage in women. This effect can result in healthier skin with fewer wrinkles. Shatavari can be used for low libido, depression, fatigue, fertility issues, inadequate breast milk supply, and irregular menstrual cycles. Peppermint is included because it has cooling and soothing properties, making it useful for relieving discomfort and hot flashes, promoting healthy digestion, and more. We also added Red Clover. Red Clover is a traditional remedy for menopause, arthritis, and other health conditions, and the high isoflavone content is believed to help lower menopause symptoms, such as hot flashes and night sweats. Red clover contains isoflavones, which are a type of phytoestrogen — a plant compound that can weakly mimic estrogen in the body. Some research has shown a connection between isoflavone intake and a reduced risk of osteoporosis. High isoflavone content is believed to help lower menopause symptoms, such as hot flashes and night sweats. Promotes skin and hair health. May improve heart health in postmenopausal women. Maca Root is an adaptogen that helps the body cope with stress, supports energy levels, and promotes hormonal balance, often making it particularly beneficial for women experiencing perimenopause or menopause. Burdock Root was also included because it is a reliable source of antioxidants, which are chemical compounds that help protect your cells from damage. And as an anti-inflammatory, burdock root may also help reduce your risk of chronic diseases such as diabetes, high blood pressure, arthritis, and even some cancers. We also included English Ivy. English Ivy is rich in polyphenols, or plant compounds, called saponins and flavonoids. These compounds provide a host of potential benefits; most notably, they are potent anti-inflammatory and antioxidant compounds.

Also added in Helichrysum. It is also known as the Everlasting or Immortal flower. It is antibacterial; it is perfect for eradicating bacteria and preventing fungal growth on the skin, which could lead to further skin irritations such as rashes, infections, and even delayed wound healing. It helps treat acne naturally, since it has strong antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties. It helps soothe inflamed, red skin while killing bacteria, thereby inhibiting the growth and spread of pimples, blackheads, and boils throughout the skin. provides immense pain relief arising from aching muscles and stiff joints. Its anti-inflammatory properties help soothe swelling and inflammation and promote the healing of nerves, joints, and muscle tissues. a viable, natural agent to support heart health and prevent the onset of various heart-related diseases. Helichrysum also has cholagogue properties, which means it facilitates the proper excretion of bile and digestive enzymes in the stomach and intestines, thus helping to neutralize acids and promote proper digestion of the foods consumed. This helps to prevent indigestion and acid reflux. We also added Muira Pauma. Muira Pauma has a reputation as a strong aphrodisiac. The herb is considered a natural tonic for physical and athletic performance and is often used to fight fatigue, support cognitive function, and may be helpful for reducing anxiety. Anxiety can significantly decrease emotional and mental well-being and can be detrimental to human health. Many studies show that chronic, unmanaged stress can negatively affect the immune system and increase blood sugar and insulin levels. Milk Thistle is used because it contains a compound called silymarin, which has antioxidant properties. It is commonly used to support liver health and normal built-in detoxification processes. Protects the liver from damage caused by environmental toxins, medications, and alcohol. Recent studies suggest it protects the kidneys similarly. Self-Heal is self-healing because it can help protect against viruses, infections, and chronic diseases such as diabetes and cancer. Self-Heal is also known as “heal-all” due to its traditional use in healing wounds, throat infections, and several other ailments. The possible health benefits of this plant are attributed to several of its compounds. These include flavonoids, tannins, ursolic, rosmarinic, and oleanolic acids, which may have anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties and may help prevent diabetes-related complications, protect against herpes, and exert anticancer effects. California Poppy was also included, and the leaves are known for their relaxing effects and their subtle euphoric action on the mind. Poppy can be used for various painful conditions, including colic, headache, and toothache, and is used to treat a wide range of conditions, including stress and anxiety, tension, insomnia, and pain. Finally, we included Dandelion Root. Dandelion Root has been found to support healthy hormone regulation and promote estrogen balance. Estrogen is an important sex hormone, but elevated levels can result in weight gain, fatigue, low libido, and endometriosis. They can increase the risk of breast cancer in both men and women. All these are good things that promote your health!
