With our unique blend of herbs, we are working hard on managing your Insomnia symptoms and helping you get quality sleep. Sleep is one of the most important aspects of human health. It impacts everything from brain function to energy levels, physical recovery, so getting enough sleep, especially deep REM sleep, is crucial for health. This tea should be taken about 1/2 hour before bedtime. The mind works very well with consistency and that includes the constant process of the same time every night, preparing the water, the tea, steeping the drink and ingesting the blend. Please be courteous and power down all electronics, yes even Facebook, prior to drinking me as my job and electronics have a conflict of interest. We feel sleep as an innate need our bodies have and should come naturally, while using me please investigate your lifestyle as to why you need me. It is as simple as cutting out a sugary snack at supper, as it is difficult for me to overwhelm sugar consumption to have your sleep. A person should be in their jammies while taking the tea. A person will feel a window of drowsiness while sipping. Allow yourself to fall into drowsiness and enjoy a restful sleep. Should be taken on a mostly empty stomach…do not eat and drink the tea together…may not be effective. May take several days for a sleep pattern to emerge. Herbs can work to support restful sleep via a few different mechanisms. They can be Sedative – these types of herbs work to slow down your brain activity. These sleep herbs work by increasing GABA, a chief inhibitory neurotransmitter that signals the body to prepare for sleep. They can be Anxiety Reducing – This calming mental effect can be beneficial for sleep, especially for those that struggle with excessive worry. They can be Relaxing – they help to relax the muscles in the body. This physically relaxing effect helps to decrease sleep latency (i.e., the time it takes to fall asleep). And they can be Pain Reducing – they can help to reduce pain perception. Physical pain is a major sleep disruptor.
We based this tea on Valerian Root because it contains phytochemicals, including valepotriates and valerenic acid, which are reported to have relaxing, sleep-inducing effects. Valerian works as a sedative by slowing down the central nervous system. This helps to ‘wind down’ your brain and prepare your body for restful sleep. Then we added Lemon Balm. Lemon balm contains a compound known as rosmarinic acid that has antioxidant and antimicrobial properties. Antioxidants help prevent cell damage. Antimicrobials kill infection-causing organisms like bacteria and viruses. might help reduce anxiety. Using lemon balm combined with valerian root significantly improved sleep quality. Next, we included Passionflower. Passionflower improves sleep efficiency while lowering the chance of waking up during the night. Passionflower is a nervine and an anxiolytic herb, it has a calming and soothing effect on nerves and can help reduce anxiety. Due to its relaxing effect, it is one of the most popular herbs used to improve sleep quality. It can also manage menopause symptoms, regulate blood pressure, calm muscle spasms, increase memory, manage attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and has anticonvulsant effects all of which can interfere with your sleep. Chamomile was added because it helped to increase sleep quality and has a significant effect on sleep latency, sleep efficiency, and sleep quality. It contains apigenin, an antioxidant that binds to certain receptors in your brain that may promote sleepiness and reduce insomnia, or the chronic inability to sleep. People who drank chamomile tea for two weeks reported better sleep quality compared to a group that did not drink chamomile tea. They also had fewer symptoms of depression, which is often linked with sleeping problems. Belladonna because it is an excellent medicine to deal with the mind including fears, violent behavior, and mania. It has soothing and calming properties, which can promote relaxation and improve sleep which benefits individuals experiencing anxiety, insomnia, or restlessness.
Skullcap because it is a natural sleep aid and anxiolytic. It is one of the best herbs for sleep as it helps to relax the body and mind and shows a significant reduction in anxiety levels. Oat Straw because it is used for nervous system exhaustion, weak hearts, and to ease tension in the body. Oat Straw benefits the nervous system for nervous exhaustion, anxiety, and depression. Anxiety and depression are considered mental health disorders that affect the nervous system. Both conditions affect mood and behavior and often trigger symptoms like fatigue, low energy, and trouble sleeping. California Poppy is known for being a dreamless sleep inducer that can relieve mild aches or injuries as well as provide sedative qualities. This nervine works on the physical level, directly affecting the mental state into relaxation. When your muscles can release tension, chemicals are released, often allowing the mind to shift into a more peaceful state. California poppy is helpful to take before bed or in extreme states of adrenal activation. It is an excellent choice when pain is inhibiting the ability to sleep. We also included Catnip. Catnip is used to treat conditions like insomnia, anxiety, and headaches. Its biggest health benefit is the calming effect that it can have on the body. Catnip contains nepetalactone, which is like the valepotriates found in a commonly used herbal sedative, valerian. This can improve relaxation, which may boost mood and reduce anxiety, restlessness, and nervousness. Rosemary was also included. Rosemary may help with insomnia by reducing levels of cortisol, a hormone that can have harmful effects on your body. And finally, we included Peppermint. Peppermint Leaf can leave you relaxed, release your stress and mental pressure; It acts as a muscle relaxant and pain reliever, it may diminish certain types of headaches. The menthol in peppermint oil increases blood flow and provides a cooling sensation, easing pain. This is a great option to manage all your insomnia concerns.
