The active compound in milk thistle, silymarin, has strong antioxidant properties that help protect the liver from damage caused by free radicals. Silymarin also has anti-inflammatory properties, which can help reduce inflammation in the liver and other parts of the body and can aid in detoxifying the kidneys, lymphatic system, and digestive system, promoting overall wellness. Licorice Root was included because it can help reduce acidity in the stomach and inflammation throughout the digestive system, which aids in the natural detoxification process. It contains glycyrrhetinic acid, which helps neutralize strong chemical reactions in the liver, protecting the organ and enhancing its ability to process and eliminate toxins. The active compound glycyrrhizin in licorice root has antioxidant, antimicrobial, and anti-inflammatory properties, which can support overall health and aid in detoxification, and it is often used to enhance the effects of other herbs and remedies, making it a valuable component in detox formulas.
