Blender’s Notes Appetite Suppression ~ Thermogenic ~ Micro-Nutrition:
Steep Me Micro-Nutrition combinations are a wonderful way to get health benefits of different combinations of Vitamins and Minerals. With this blend we are providing a healthy and potent blend of minerals and vitamins for managing your appetite and helping jumpstart a more confident way of meal balance and your body. Foods high in protein and fiber can help suppress your appetite, as can exercise, sleep and other healthy habits. You already know that one of the side effects of changing your eating habits can be a tendency to feel less than fully satisfied. Your rumbling belly is used to getting a certain number of calories throughout the day. And when you make a conscious effort to eat fewer calories, your stomach may protest. Loudly. Natural appetite suppressants can help keep your healthy eating on track. (And keep the tummy growling to a minimum). But safety is key. Attempting to cut calories to an extreme is never (ever, ever) a safe approach. If you are considering ways to suppress your appetite to avoid eating altogether or to reduce your food intake significantly, that could be a sign you are engaging in disordered eating. Contact a healthcare provider, like a registered dietitian or mental health provider. They can help you develop a healthier relationship with food and your body. Drinking enough water is one of the all-around healthiest habits to develop. Water is essential for your well-being. Plus, it has zero calories. “Water takes up space in your stomach. So, drinking more water can help to suppress your appetite,” Dr. Cabandugama shares. What is more, our bodies can trick us into thinking we are hungry when we are not. Because sometimes, what can seem like hunger is thirst. “A lot of times we think we’re hungry, and so we eat some more,” he continues. “Since foods have water in them, we feel satiated. But it really was not that we needed the calories. Water would have sufficed.” There is a fine line here. Water is healthy, yes. But it is not a replacement for eating foods that will support your health with the vitamins and nutrients you need. When you are hungry, eat. When you are thirsty, drink water. Drink warm beverages ~ Drinking an ice-cold beverage may feel refreshing. And it will fill your belly. But a warm or hot drink may be even more effective. “More research studies are still coming out on their effects, but we have seen that hot liquids can have some degree of expansion in the stomach, which may help to suppress your appetite,” Dr. Cabandugama says. “Coffee in particular may help to raise your metabolic rate, which can help you to burn calories more quickly.” So, beverages like coffee and tea may help keep you feeling full. And if you drink them straight-up — no creamer, sugar or added flavors — you get that appetite-suppressing effect without any calories.
Considering not just what you eat, but also when you eat, can help suppress your appetite at inappropriate times and help you reach your goals. Intermittent fasting has a strong following among people looking to lose weight and live a healthier life. And it has its advantages. There are lots of ways to do intermittent fasting, but Dr. Cabandugama says that one of the easiest to implement is to eat dinner earlier and not snack in the evenings. If, for example, you eat dinner at 6 p.m. and breakfast at 7 a.m., that is a 13-hour fast. (And you get to sleep through much of it!) “The problem with nighttime snacking is that we go to sleep right after we eat. What you want is to have the bulk of your calories during the day when you are exerting yourself the most,” he advises. But you are wondering, how do I make it that long without eating? Won’t I be hungry? The thing to remember, Dr. Cabandugama shares, is that mealtimes are a social construct. Just because the clock says it is 9 p.m. (or whenever your usual snack time is), that does not mean you need a snack. That is just what your body has been conditioned to expect. Changing your mealtime habits can take some time and effort. But you may soon realize that those snack attacks are not so much about being hungry. They are simply a habit that you have the power to change. And changing that habit will help suppress your appetite and help keep your belly from begging between meals. Exercise ~ Exercise works in a few ways to help suppress your appetite. For starters, exercise releases endorphins — hormones that can reduce stress and improve your mood. That can help keep you from stressed eating. Exercise can also suppress your hunger hormones. How much exercise do you need? “The most current guidelines recommend 150 minutes a week of moderate-intensity cardio exercise,” Dr. Cabandugama notes. “That translates to a half hour of exercise five days a week. Or an hour three days a week. Or whatever breakdown works best for you.” Additionally, aim to do some strength training at least twice a week for 15 minutes at a time. And be sure to hydrate while exercising. Pro tip — have a banana before your workouts to help curb your post-workout hunger. Get enough sleep ~ Too little sleep can increase your stress levels, which, in turn, can stimulate your appetite. And to be frank, you cannot eat while you are sleeping. So, you could say that sleep is the definition of natural appetite suppression. Your body needs time to unwind. And getting enough sleep is important for your overall health. Most adults need seven to nine hours of sleep per day. And that “per day” part is important. Some people cannot get a solid eight hours every night. That is particularly true for shift workers and people with babies and young children at home. 6 Ways to Suppress Your Appetite Naturally
We based this blend on our Stone Ground Gyokuro Green Tea from Shizuoka, Japan Tea used in the Japanese Tea Ceremony. It has a deep and earthy taste with a bit of sweetness. The gyokuro leaves are shade grown which stimulates the plant to produce more chlorophyll giving it strong health benefits. Matcha can help suppress appetite, which can be beneficial for weight management. Matcha contains natural caffeine, which provides a gentle energy boost without the jittery effects often associated with coffee. This can help reduce cravings and the urge to snack between meals. Matcha is rich in catechins, particularly epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG), which has been shown to increase levels of hormones like leptin and peptide YY that help regulate appetite. The amino acid theanine found in matcha promotes relaxation without causing drowsiness, which can help reduce stress-related eating. Matcha contains dietary fiber, which can help you feel fuller for longer periods, reducing overall food intake. Next, we added our Green Yerba Mate is not a part of the standard Camellia Sinensis plant but from a holly plant called the Ilex Paraguariensis plant that is indigenous to South America. Traditionally enjoyed hot with a filtered straw in a hollow gourd. Natural remedy for fatigue, depression, weight management and chronic headaches. Plus, it may help with appetite suppression. It contains compounds that boost fat metabolism and affect hunger and satiety signals in the brain. A study showed that taking 2 g of yerba mate before exercise reduced appetite and increased metabolism, focus, and energy level. However, there is no quality evidence to suggest that natural appetite suppressants really work. With these teas we included Kokum Berry. Kokum contains hydroxy citric acid (HCA), a natural compound that has been linked to appetite suppression. Consuming Kokum may help reduce food cravings and promote feelings of fullness, making it an excellent ally in weight management. The high fiber content in kokum helps promote satiety, making you feel fuller for longer periods and reducing overall food intake and Kokum is low in sugar and calories, making it a terrific addition to a weight management diet. Next, we added Damiana. Because this blend already contains Yerba Mate, adding Damiana makes these ingredients more effective. Damiana contains a compound called ursolic acid, which can be an effective weight-loss tool by reducing fat absorption especially when used with Guarana. Damiana is known to improve energy levels, which can help support physical activity and reduce stress-related eating and help with hormonal balance, which can indirectly contribute to appetite control and weight management. Guarana was added to partner with Damiana. It has long been used by Indigenous populations in South America as an herbal remedy, particularly as a stimulant and appetite suppressant in its natural form. It can also help with reducing fatigue, improving focus, weight loss, gastrointestinal relief, pain relief and heart health. Guarana has also been found to suppress genes that aid fat cell production and promote genes that slow it down and Guarana releases more chlorogenic acids into the blood, which control hunger and suppress appetite for a brief time. There is some caffeine in Guarana, which can stimulate the nervous system and can decrease appetite and boost metabolism. Guar Gum was added because it is derived from guar beans, a soluble fiber that can help suppress appetite and forms a gel-like substance in the stomach, which helps you feel fuller for longer periods, gel slows the rate at which food leaves the stomach, reducing hunger and the urge to eat and can reduce the number of calories consumed from snacking throughout the day.
Next, we added in Hoodia. Hoodia is a succulent plant native to the Kalahari Desert and has been traditionally used by the San people to suppress hunger, contains a molecule called P57, which is thought to stimulate the central nervous system and trick the brain into feeling full. Besides being able to control food cravings and calorie intake, obesity, and weight gain, it has been used to supplement to improve energy levels and improve antidepressant activity. Acacia Fiber was added because it is an indigestible fiber that has been shown to help suppress appetite, Acacia fiber forms a gel-like substance in the intestines, which helps you feel fuller for longer periods and can suppress appetite for up to 4 hours. Plus, the high fiber content helps regulate digestion and can reduce overall food intake. R-Alpha Lipoic Acid was included because it is a potent antioxidant that has been shown to support weight management and appetite suppression and has been shown to reduce signals in the brain that trigger appetite, helping to reduce overall food intake. It supports a healthy outflow of cellular energy, which means your cells are forced to burn calories to make up for the reduced caloric intake plus R-ALA neutralizes free radicals, protecting healthy cells and supporting overall health. Coleus can help reduce appetite by lowering hunger hormones, which may lead to reduced calorie intake, and it is believed to stimulate the production of a fat-burning enzyme called hormone-sensitive lipase, which helps burn fat and calories. Chicory Root may help regulate appetite, supporting long-term weight loss efforts. The herb’s high fiber content forms a gel-like substance when it reaches the stomach, promoting feelings of fullness and reducing hunger cues. The herb’s high fiber content forms a gel-like substance when it reaches the stomach, promoting feelings of fullness and reducing hunger cues. Then we added Life Giving Seeds Organic Flax Seeds. Flax Seed are lax seeds rich in both soluble and insoluble fiber. Soluble fiber forms a gel-like substance in the gut, which helps you feel fuller for longer. This can reduce overall food intake and help control cravings. When you eat foods that are high in fiber, you feel full for longer. This can help suppress your desire to eat if you are cutting calories for weight loss. Additionally, your digestive tract is stimulated by foods rich in fiber. Flax seeds are a reliable source of omega-3 fatty acids, which have been shown to reduce inflammation and may aid in weight management. The fiber in flax seeds can help stabilize blood sugar levels, which can prevent spikes and crashes that often lead to hunger and overeating. Flax seeds promote healthy digestion, which is essential for overall well-being and can help you feel more satisfied after meals. Bupleurum because it is known for its liver-supporting and stress-relieving properties and its adaptogenic effects can help manage stressors that might otherwise lead to stress eating. Cayenne Pepper was added because it contains capsaicin which is an active compound that may boost metabolism and fat oxidation. With this increase of heat that your body produces, it is considered a thermogenic agent giving a slight boost to your metabolism and causing you to burn more calories. It is also effective in reducing hunger, which might help you eat less throughout the day.
We included Calcium and Vitamin D3. This combo works together to help control appetite. Calcium may help increase the secretion of incretins, which are hormones that help reduce appetite. Vitamin D helps the body absorb calcium. Also, Calcium plays a crucial role in regulating how fat is processed and stored by the body. There are three science-backed findings on calcium’s role in weight loss because it helps you burn more fat; it makes you feel fuller for longer and it helps your body get rid of fat (through stools). Calcium binds more fatty acids in the intestines, thereby inhibiting the absorption of some fat. Boosting calcium consumption spurs weight loss, but only in people whose diets are calcium deficient. Caralluma because it contains antioxidants and chemicals that might reduce appetite. People use Caralluma for obesity and anxiety and is often promoted for weight loss due to its potential appetite-suppressing properties. It is believed to block certain enzymes that play a role in fat formation, which can help reduce hunger and food intake and can help reduce waist circumference and overall body weight. Kelp was added because it contains a natural fiber called alginate, which can stop fat from getting absorbed. Alginate blocks lipase, an enzyme that works to digest fat. And it is so effective that it blocks more than 70 percent of any lipase present. Alginate stops your gut from absorbing as much fat as it normally would and increases your feelings of fullness. Kelp also contains iodine, which is important for thyroid function and metabolic rate. Psyllium can help increase feelings of fullness, reduces hunger, and boosts satiety while Psyllium contains soluble dietary fiber that slows down food transit through the stomach, leading to increased satiety. Conjugated Linoleic Acid has been shown to affect appetite-regulating genes and hormones, which can help reduce hunger and food intake, and can help reduce body fat and improve body composition by preventing fat cells from getting bigger. Griffonia, which is native to West Africa, has compounds that are converted into serotonin in the brain, which in turn can help regulate mood, appetite, and sleep. Increased serotonin levels can lead to reduced appetite and cravings. It can help suppress appetite, leading to reduced food intake and potential weight loss. It may aid in weight management by promoting feelings of fullness and reducing overall calorie consumption. Steep Me Chromium Blend was added because it can help reduce appetite and cravings by impacting neurotransmitters involved in regulating mood and eating behavior, works with insulin to help cells take in glucose and release energy which can improve insulin sensitivity and potentially reduce cravings. This ability to improve insulin sensitivity can help the body use insulin more effectively to control blood sugar levels, help suppress appetite, may increase fat metabolism, and help the body burn fat more efficiently.
We also added Gynostemma. Gynostemma can be effective for weight loss. Gynostemma is believed to enhance the body’s ability to burn fat more efficiently by activating enzymes involved in fat oxidation, it can promote fat burning and increase energy expenditure, supporting weight loss efforts. The plant contains antioxidants like polysaccharides, plant sterols, flavonoids, and ginsenosides, which help combat oxidative stress and promote overall health and has been shown to improve metabolic health and cardiovascular function, which can be beneficial for weight management. L-Tyrosine was included because it plays a role in producing thyroid hormones, which regulate metabolism, It helps produce neurotransmitters like dopamine and norepinephrine, which can improve mood and reduce stress, can improve mental performance, especially in stressful situations and By supporting the production of important brain chemicals, it can help increase alertness and energy. Steep Me Medicinal Mushrooms are known for its cognitive-enhancing properties, which can help regulate appetite by improving decision-making and reducing cravings, energy-boosting properties, and can help reduce stress, which is often linked to emotional eating. Steep Me Medicinal Mushrooms also help reducing inflammation, antioxidant protection, supporting healthy inflammatory responses, enhancing the immune response, supporting a healthy urinary tract, and promoting a better sense of wellbeing which is essential while working with weight management and appetite suppression. Finally, we added Glucomannan. Glucomannan is a highly absorbent fiber that can help suppress appetite. Glucomannan can absorb up to 50 times its weight in water, forming a gel-like substance in the stomach. This helps you feel fuller for longer periods. The gel-like substance slows digestion and promotes a feeling of fullness, reducing the urge to snack between meals and adding glucomannan to a balanced diet can lead to greater weight loss compared to a diet without it.
