Blender’s Notes Baby Delivery Aid Blend:

Steep Me Self-Help Tea combinations are a wonderful way to get health benefits outside of the standard tea leaf. In this combination of herbs, we are helping the Pregnant Mommy during her last 2 weeks of their pregnancy to start getting the body ready for delivery. Baby Delivery Aid has enhanced herbs to really allow the baby to settle into the pelvic bowl. There are herbs to help thin the cervix, help tonify the uterine muscles, help ripen the cervix, enhance uterine contraction activity, nourishing the body and support milk production.

For the Baby Delivery Tea & Capsules

In this blend we started with Black Cohosh. Midwives have traditionally used black cohosh (Actaea racemosa) to help stimulate uterine contractions, aiding in inducing labor, particularly in women who are overdue. Black Cohosh can influence estrogen, luteinizing hormone, and serotonin pathways allowing labor to come naturally. Its anti-inflammatory properties can offer some pain relief during labor, potentially easing discomfort and it can help stabilize mood swings, which can be beneficial during labor and delivery, although more research is needed on this aspect. Next, we added Nettles. Nettles are considered a nutritive tonic. Nutritive, meaning it is an herb that is nutrient-dense (like a food) and tonic, implying that you can take it daily and long term. Stinging nettles are high in vitamins (A, C, K) and minerals (iron, calcium, magnesium). These nutrients can support overall health during pregnancy and contribute to maternal and fetal well-being. Nettles can help with uterine contractions and decrease bleeding after delivery. They can aid in toning the uterus and promoting smoother postpartum recovery. Stinging nettles have anti-inflammatory effects, which can help relieve discomfort during labor and assist in the recovery process post-delivery. Nettles are thought to promote lactation due to their nutrient profile, which can be beneficial for new mothers aiming to breastfeed. The rich nutrient content can help enhance energy levels, which can be particularly beneficial during labor and postpartum. Red raspberry leaf can offer several benefits related to labor and delivery, including uterine toning, improved labor experience, and enhanced postpartum recovery. Red raspberry leaf (Rubus idaeus) is a well-known herbal remedy, particularly among pregnant women, for its potential benefits during labor and delivery. Red raspberry leaf is believed to tone the muscles of the uterus. This can help to make contractions more effective and potentially reduce labor duration. It can help in preparing the uterus for labor, leading to smoother contractions and potentially shorter labor time. Some women report less intense labor pains when using it. The leaves are high in vitamins (A, C, E) and minerals (calcium, magnesium, potassium), which can support both maternal and fetal health throughout pregnancy and aid recovery postpartum. Red raspberry leaf is thought to help with uterine involution (the process of the uterus returning to its normal size) after delivery, potentially reducing postpartum bleeding. Next, we included Cumin. Cumin can help alleviate common digestive issues such as bloating and gas during pregnancy, promoting overall gastrointestinal comfort. Cumin contains compounds with anti-inflammatory effects that can help reduce discomfort and swelling during pregnancy and labor. Cumin is a reliable source of essential nutrients, including iron, magnesium, and manganese, which can support maternal and fetal health. Iron is particularly important during pregnancy for preventing anemia. For pregnant women experiencing nausea or loss of appetite, cumin might enhance flavor in meals and encourage food intake. It can aid in maintaining hormonal balance, potentially helping to regulate menstrual cycles and prepare the body for labor.

We also included Passionflower. Passionflower (Passiflora incarnata) is an herb known for its calming effects and is often used in traditional medicine. Passionflower can help reduce anxiety and stress, which can be beneficial for women during labor. It promotes relaxation and can help create a calmer environment and it can promote relaxation and improve sleep quality, aiding in overall well-being. By helping to relax muscles, passionflower can ease tension during labor, potentially making contractions feel less intense. Passionflower can have mild analgesic properties, which could help manage discomfort during labor and assist in regulating hormones, potentially contributing to a more balanced emotional state during pregnancy and labor. We also added Cinnamon. Cinnamon (Cinnamomum verum or Cinnamomum cassia) is a popular spice that has been used traditionally for its therapeutic properties. Cinnamon contains compounds that can help reduce inflammation, which can alleviate discomfort during pregnancy and labor. Cinnamon can help stabilize blood sugar levels, which is beneficial, especially for pregnant women at risk of gestational diabetes. It can relieve nausea and digestive issues, common complaints during pregnancy. This can enhance overall comfort during labor. Known for its warming effects, cinnamon can improve circulation, which can promote better uterine muscle function during labor. Cinnamon has antimicrobial qualities that can help protect against infections, supporting overall maternal health during labor. Finally, we added Alfalfa. Alfalfa (Medicago sativa) is a nutrient-rich herb often used in herbal medicine. Alfalfa is high in vitamins (A, C, E, and K) and minerals (calcium, magnesium, potassium), vital for supporting maternal health during pregnancy and postpartum recovery. It can help in regulating hormones, which can positively influence mood and physical well-being during labor. Alfalfa is traditionally believed to promote breast milk production, making it beneficial for new mothers looking to increase milk supply. Alfalfa can aid digestion, helping to alleviate constipation, a common issue during pregnancy. Alfalfa is thought to have anti-inflammatory properties, which can help reduce swelling and discomfort associated with pregnancy and labor.

For the Baby Delivery Capsules

In this version we added a few extra ingredients. We included Ginger. Ginger (Zingiber officinale) is a well-known spice praised for its various health benefits. Ginger is commonly used to alleviate nausea and vomiting, making it beneficial for many women during pregnancy and labor. It can possess anti-inflammatory properties that can help reduce pain and discomfort during contractions and labor. Ginger can promote uterine contractions, aiding in a more efficient labor process in some cases. Ginger can improve digestion and reduce bloating, which can enhance comfort during labor. By improving circulation, ginger can help ensure that the body effectively delivers nutrients and oxygen during labor, potentially enhancing overall energy levels. Next, we added Rosehips. Rosehips, the fruit of the rose plant, are rich in nutrients and have been used in traditional medicine. Rosehips are an excellent source of vitamin C, which supports the immune system and can aid in healing and recovery during and after childbirth. The anti-inflammatory compounds in rosehips can help reduce swelling and discomfort, which can be beneficial during labor and recovery and can aid digestion and alleviate constipation, common during pregnancy. The antioxidants in rosehips can help combat oxidative stress, potentially benefiting overall health during labor and postpartum recovery. Rosehips can help in regulating hormones, which could positively affect mood and well-being during pregnancy and postpartum. Thyme (Thymus vulgaris) is a popular herb known for its medicinal properties. Thyme has natural antimicrobial properties, which can help protect against infections during pregnancy and postpartum. It can aid digestion and relieve gastrointestinal discomfort, which can enhance overall comfort during labor. Thyme contains compounds that can reduce inflammation, alleviating pain and discomfort associated with labor and delivery can help reduce stress and anxiety during labor. Thyme can support respiratory health, which is beneficial during labor when breathing techniques are important.

Many Many Many of our customers who use all our pregnancy teas have stated repeatedly that they feel that their labor was shorter and smoother at the end. The tea and its effective herbs had an influence on how the baby came and how they feel for recovery after the baby was born.

When talking about the many types of tea, Tisane (Herbal Infusion) or Herbal Tea or Self-Help Tea is really not tea at all.  It is made like a tea and all the same items are used to make it, but it does not contain the Camellia Sinensis Plant (unless stated), but is simply roots, flowers, leaves, and fruits put together is a combination that is made just like a tea.  With that being said…the health benefits of a Tisane or Herbal teas are different.  They can vary depending on the ingredients and combination of herbs so there are no blanket health benefits – just depends on the ingredients.

For many, the best part of Tisane or Herbal Tea or Self-Help Tea is the fact that it is caffeine free naturally.  Of course there are herbs that can be added to change that.  The most popular Herbal teas include Chamomile, Peppermint, Spearmint, and any combination of fruit blends or infusions.  Our Self-Help Teas are simply supplemental herbal combinations to aid with an occasional ailment specific to what may be happening in your life.  The teas are built to work and are not build with any specific flavorings.  The blends are tested to the minimum requirements laid out by Steep Me A Cup of Tea.  The taste provided is natural to the herbs present in the blend.  No flavorings added.
