Blender’s Notes Bronchial Virus:
The Bronchial Virus Blend was built to relieve the low cough in the lungs and restriction in the ribs. I may not be the best choice before bed due to a bit of caffeine. But the rest of the day, I am here to help you get rid of that nagging cough. This combination of herbs helps the body with the deep deep chest cough. The cough that is not helped by traditional throat soothers. This self-help tea will really help get to that deep cough that does not seem to want to go away… or strikes in the middle of the night and keeps you and the others in your home up at night. Bronchitis is an inflammation of the airways leading into your lungs. When your airways (trachea and bronchi) get irritated, they swell up and fill with mucus, causing you to cough. Your cough can last days to a couple of weeks. It is the main symptom of bronchitis. Viruses are the most common cause of acute bronchitis. Smoke and other irritants can cause acute and chronic bronchitis. A persistent cough that lasts one to three weeks is the main symptom of bronchitis. You usually mention mucus when you cough with bronchitis, but you might get a dry cough instead. You might also hear a whistling or rattling sound when you breathe (wheezing). You might have other symptoms, including Shortness of breath (dyspnea). Fever. Runny nose. Tiredness (fatigue). You get bronchitis when your airways swell up and fill with mucus. You can get the viruses and bacteria that cause bronchitis from close contact (shaking hands, hugging, touching the same surfaces) with someone who has them. You do not have to have bronchitis yourself to pass on a virus to someone else who ends up with bronchitis. Other irritants, like tobacco or pollutants, are in the air you breathe. Bronchitis: Causes, Symptoms, Diagnosis & Treatment
We based this blend on White and Green Tea. These teas contain antioxidants called catechins, which have anti-inflammatory properties that can help reduce inflammation in the bronchial tubes. The antioxidants in green tea can help protect the bronchial tubes from damage caused by free radicals and pollutants. Regular consumption of green tea can improve lung function and reduce symptoms of respiratory conditions like bronchitis. The caffeine in green tea can help relax the airways, providing temporary relief from symptoms like wheezing and shortness of breath. We also included Oolong Tea. Oolong tea has also been found to have bronchodilator effects, meaning it can help relax and open the airways. This can be particularly beneficial for individuals with asthma or other respiratory conditions that involve airway constriction. Next, we added Lobelia because it is used to help treat respiratory illnesses. This herb is beneficial for bronchitis, whooping cough, asthma, and pneumonia. Peppermint was added because it contains menthol, which helps relax the smooth muscles of the respiratory tract, making it easier to breathe and acts as a natural decongestion, clearing nasal passages and reducing congestion. Peppermint has anti-inflammatory properties that can help reduce inflammation in the bronchial tubes. The antioxidants in peppermint help protect the bronchial tubes from damage caused by free radicals and pollutants and soothe irritated tissues in the respiratory tract, providing relief from symptoms like coughing and throat irritation. Dandelion because it contains compounds that help reduce inflammation in the bronchial tubes, which can alleviate symptoms like coughing and wheezing and help protect the bronchial tubes from damage caused by free radicals and pollutants. Plus, dandelion can help clear mucus from the respiratory system, making it easier to breathe. We also included Bio-Cystek. Bio-Cystek is rich in polyphenols and flavonoids and combat free radicals that cause cellular damage. It has anti-inflammatory properties that can help reduce inflammation in the body. It supports the immune system and can help relieve cold and flu symptoms and improve digestion and nutrient absorption and help prevent constipation. The antioxidants can help protect the cardiovascular system. Plus, it can help reduce stress and anxiety, promoting overall mental health. Mullein because it acts as an expectorant. This means that the herb helps the body remove excess mucus from the lungs and soothes the mucus membranes with its emollient properties. It can help with issues ranging from bronchitis, heavy coughing, chest colds and even asthma. Pau D’ Arco was also included because it helps respiratory issues like coughs and bronchitis. It may help alleviate symptoms associated with conditions like asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) by addressing underlying inflammation and microbial factors.
Next, we included Black Cumin. Black Cumin has compounds that help relax bronchial muscles, making it easier to breathe for individuals with Bronchial issues. Black cumin has anti-inflammatory properties that can reduce inflammation in the airways, relieving symptoms such as wheezing, coughing, and shortness of breath. The antioxidants in black cumin seed help protect the bronchial tubes from damage caused by free radicals and pollutants and support the immune system, helping the body fight off respiratory infections more effectively. Lungwort was added because it contains compounds that help reduce inflammation in the bronchial tubes, which can alleviate symptoms like coughing and wheezing. The high mucilage content in lungwort helps soothe irritated tissues in the respiratory tract, making it useful for treating conditions like chronic bronchitis. Lungwort is rich in antioxidants, which help protect the bronchial tubes from damage caused by free radicals and pollutants and helps treat chronic coughs and whooping cough. Self-Heal was added because it contains compounds that help reduce inflammation in the bronchial tubes, which can alleviate symptoms like coughing and wheezing. The antioxidants in self-heal help protect the bronchial tubes from damage caused by free radicals and pollutants, has a high mucilage content, which helps soothe irritated tissues in the respiratory tract and can be beneficial for treating conditions like bronchitis, and it supports the immune system, helping the body fight off respiratory infections more effectively. Eucalyptus was added because it has a significant ability to open the upper and lower airways when breathed in, bringing rapid relief for symptoms of respiratory infection. Eucalyptus is also known to reduce mucus secretion and lung inflammation. English Ivy could improve respiratory health. It has been traditionally used to alleviate symptoms of conditions like asthma, bronchitis, and allergies. The leaves of English ivy contain saponins, which have expectorant properties, helping to break down mucus and clear the airways. Next, we added Plantain. Plantain contains mucilage, which helps soothe and protect the respiratory tract by coating the airways and reducing irritation. It helps to thin and expel mucus, making it easier to clear the bronchial tubes. Plantain has anti-inflammatory properties that can help reduce inflammation in the bronchial tubes and help protect from damage caused by free radicals and pollutants. Finally, we added Horehound. Horehound was also included to treat coughs and bronchitis. It is said to relax the smooth muscles of the bronchus while promoting mucus production. The European Medicines Agency notes horehound is appropriate for use as an expectorant (a medicine to help bring up phlegm) in patients with coughs associated with a cold.
