Blender’s Notes Fungal Infection ~ Mold Toxicity ~ WIP:
Steep Me Self Help Tea combinations are a terrific way to get health benefits outside of the standard tea leaf. The blends in our Work in Progress section are still in their testing phases…. We would love for you to try the blends and give us feedback on how you felt they were working. All our teas go through a thorough testing phase to ensure we are finding success in the combination. Once we have 100 people or more testing the blend and we are starting to see the same results in 60 or more of the testers…these blends will move to the Self-Help section.
With this blend we are addressing two options in one. Fungal infection occurs when a fungal strain invades the outer layers of skin, hair, or nails. It is most characterized by irritated and itchy skin, broken hair, and discolored and thickened nails. Fungal infections are most likely to grow in dark, warm, and moist areas of the body. These infections are mostly caused by two fungi species, dermatophyte (i.e., ringworm) and Candida albicans. Dermatophytes, or ringworms, are considered “filamentous fungi” that thrive off keratinized tissue of the skin, hair, and nails. This species of fungi is transmitted through animals, soil, or via other infected people. Types of infections that dermatophytes manifest include tinea corporis, tinea capitis, tinea unguium, tinea pedis, and tinea faciei. Candida albicans is technically a species of yeast that is prevalent in the human microbiome, particularly the gastrointestinal and genitourinary tracts. These colonies provide beneficial support to healthy individuals, however, stress, compromised immune systems, and other factors can cause Candida overgrowth. Types of Candida infections include oral thrush, vaginal candidiasis, oropharyngeal candidiasis, paronychia, candidiasis, and chronic mucocutaneous candidiasis. Mold exposure can have detrimental effects on the body, leading to various health issues. Detoxifying herbs can offer relief from mold toxins and support the body’s natural detoxification process. These herbs are known for their ability to cleanse the body, eliminate toxins, and promote overall wellness. By incorporating these natural remedies into your routine, you can effectively detoxify your body from mold exposure and improve your health. Detoxifying herbs offer a range of benefits for individuals exposed to mold. These herbs possess anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and immune-boosting properties that can help the body eliminate mold toxins. They support the liver, kidneys, and other detoxification pathways, ensuring toxins are efficiently removed from the body. Additionally, these herbs can help reduce symptoms associated with mold illness and promote overall wellbeing.
We added Pau d’ Arco and Burdock Root to really keep fungal infections at bay! We added Ginger because the Gingerol present in ginger has potent antifungal properties. Adding ginger to our diet in the form of ginger tea effectively helps to prevent and treat fungal infections like Candida. We added Dong Quai because it is effective for improving blood circulation by keeping the blood healthy, preventing blood clots, ensuring blood reaches extremities, and can also boost energy levels with high anti-inflammatory properties. We added Olive Leaf because a number of studies give evidence that oleuropein, the active ingredient in olive leaf extract, is effective in fighting overgrowth of fungi. By improving your immunity against such unhealthy invaders as Candida, olive leaf decreases blood sugar, thus helping avoid yeast infections to begin with. Another study, which involved a dozen miscellaneous plant extracts, found that olive leaf offered more protection from mycotoxigenic fungi and pathogenic fungi, than any other compound evaluated. Olive leaf extract has been shown to prevent a type of candida infection known as oral thrush. This condition, also known as oral candidiasis, results in white lesions inside the inner cheeks or on the tongue. It can also spread to the tonsils, back of the throat, gums, and roof of the mouth. While oral thrush is usually relatively minor, it can be severe in people who have a compromised immune system. With these main ingredients we added Yellow Dock for its Anti-Inflammatory and Antioxidant qualities and is a blood cleanser or detoxifier while increasing digestive enzymes. Echinacea and Oregano are the strongest Immune-stimulating herbs and are used to strengthen and protect immune function to help boost your environmental immune system and fight infections.
We also included an aged and fermented Black Tea called Puerh. Puerh’s health benefits include aiding digestion, reducing cholesterol levels, improving gut health, and boosting immunity. The caffeine content in puerh tea helps stimulate the central nervous system, improves mental alertness, and aids in weight loss. Dandelion Root was added because it is an especially efficient detoxifier. It not only stimulates the production of bile in the liver but also increases urine output due to its mild diuretic properties, both of which help purify the body of harmful toxins. Grapefruit is an excellent antifungal both internally and externally. Next, we included Triphala. Triphala is a potent antioxidant blend produced when Amalaki, Bibhitaki, and Haritaki are combined to make Triphala. By scavenging dangerous free radicals, antioxidants shield cells from deterioration and lower the risk of chronic illnesses and its anti-aging effects are additionally aided by its antioxidant qualities. Borage because it helps relieve symptoms of asthma by decreasing inflammation and swelling in the airways. We also added Charcoal because it absorbs toxins and aids in their elimination from the body. Allowing them to be flushed out so the body does not reabsorb them. Black Cohosh because it has salicylic acid and it is extremely useful as a natural anti-inflammatory substance, as salicylic acid directly mimics the activity of aspirin. Mangosteen was added because it is an anti-inflammatory agent, is rich in nutrients, minerals, vitamins, and xanthones which help in boosting the immune system, its anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, is beneficial to expedite the healing of wounds. Boswellia has been used as an anti-inflammatory, anti-arthritic, and analgesic agent. Holy Basil because it supports immune function, contains compounds including camphene, eugenol, and cineole, which help provide relief from congestion and other symptoms of respiratory disorders. Gingko Biloba was used to improve memory and cognition. It works by improving circulation, resulting in increased oxygen flow to the brain. Exposure to mold can cause cerebral allergy or nervous system damage, and Gingko Biloba helps protect brain function and is a critical component of recovery. Finally, we added Nettles. Nettles provide allergy relief, inflammation reducer, immune support, and function as a natural antihistamine. Nettle leaf is also a natural diuretic, helping to eliminate excess fluids in the body.
