In this blend we included Astralagus and Ashwagandha. These herbs are both adaptogenic herbs that may have the ability to alleviate anxiety and improve sleep quality and can help the body manage environmental stress which can greatly reduce anxiety. They are widely used in the treatment of depression and anxiety symptoms for those with schizophrenia and lower cortisol levels. It is thought that these adaptogenic herbs can balance the HPA axis’s hormone response. Next, we included Elderflower. Elderflower can help to reduce stress, relax nerves, and overcome depression making it amazingly effective to help with Anxiety. Gotu Kola was added because people experience significantly lower levels of depression, stress, and anxiety with the herb, and it demonstrated a lower acoustic startle response. Mug Wort because it has powerful nervine properties which make it good for treating anxiety, depression, and lowering chronic stress levels. This can help relieve stress on your nervous and metabolic system and improve your quality of life if anxiety is something you experience daily. Brahmi was added because it is used to benefit cognition and it is also used to improve mood and decrease levels of anxiety and depression. Next, Steep Me Medicinal Mushroom Blend was added. These mushrooms have positive effects in the brains by enhancing memory and brain cell growth and offers neuroprotective functions, cytotoxicity, anticarcinogenic, antidiabetic, antimicrobial, and herbicidal activities which nourish the body and reduce Anxiety. Ginkgo Biloba was added because it reduces anxiety, apathy, irritability, depression, and sleep disturbances. Lemon Balm because it may be one of the best natural remedies for anxiety and helpful for increasing sleep quality. It is beneficial for improved sleep quality, sleep efficiency, sleep duration, as well as decreased levels of depression, anxiety, and stress.
We also included Rhodiola. Rhodiola Root can improve mood, restore energy, and reduce reported depression and balance cortisol levels. These effects support the reduction of stress-induced depression and other chronic stress symptoms. Catnip was also added because it can help treat nervousness and anxiety. Catnip contains nepetalactone, which is similar to the valepotriates found in a commonly used herbal sedative, valerian. This can improve relaxation which may boost mood and reduce anxiety, restlessness, and nervousness. Maca Root was added because it is rich in amino acids, containing over 90% of both essential amino acids and free fatty acids. It also has significant amounts of calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, and potassium. a reliable source of antioxidants, which help combat oxidative stress within the body. All these nutrients can help the body to function well, thereby reducing stress and anxiety. two unique types of nutrients called macaenes and macamides. These are thought to be responsible for maca’s ability to help the body balance its hormones. Since hormone health is key to a relaxed and peaceful attitude, it follows that these nutrients may be tied to reports of lowered stress levels from people using maca. We also added California Poppy mixed with Hawthorne because it can significantly reduce anxiety by promoting relaxation, reduce mild pain, and enhance sleep. Holy Basil was added because it is an adaptogen that can help reduce stress, anxiety, and depression and can help reduce anxiety symptoms such as forgetfulness, exhaustion, and sleep issues. Next, we added Skullcap. Skullcap is commonly used in natural remedies for anxiety because of it nervine qualities. Skullcap has been traditionally used to treat anxiety because of its phytochemical compounds and their anxiolytic action. The active phytochemical compounds in skullcap: baicalin and baicalein, appeared to contribute to the anxiolytic effects. The amino acid GABA (gamma-aminobutyric acid) is the primary inhibitory neurotransmitter in the brain. It has a relaxing effect on the central nervous system and promotes relaxation and sleep. It is thought that baicalin and baicalein, phytochemicals found in skullcap, might act to activate GABA within the brain, thus providing anxiolytic effects. Corydalis was added to help with pain and cause feelings of relaxation (sedation). In Corydalis it contains tetrahydropalmatine (THP)—an alkaloid in the corydalis plant—has been shown to block receptor sites for dopamine in the brain, which can cause sedation. And finally, we added Ginseng. Ginseng effectively regulates the immune response and the hormonal changes due to stress, thus maintaining homeostasis. In addition to suppressing the occurrence of psychological diseases such as anxiety and depression, ginseng also prevents stress-associated physiological diseases.
