Blender’s Notes Still Waters:

What is Chai?  Chai is tea with a personality upgrade. Instead of plain leaves in hot water, it’s black tea dressed up with milk, sweetener, and a spice squad—ginger for zing, cardamom for sweetness, cinnamon for warmth, and cloves for depth. And many other add-ins that give each blend its own personality.  Basically, it’s tea that decided to throw a block party in your mug.  People love it because it is ~ Creamy and cozy, but with enough spice to wake up your senses ~ In many countries, chai isn’t just a drink—it’s how people connect, gossip, and pause life for a moment ~ Many places have turned Chai into the “chai latte,” but at its core, it’s still the same spiced hug in a cup!!  What is Chai…In America, this specialized blend is known as a “taste” of tea with predominantly cinnamon or cardamom notes, and it pairs well with dairy.   Cardamom is the most common ingredient, followed by some mixture of cinnamon, ginger, star anise, and cloves. Pepper, coriander, nutmeg, and fennel are also used, but they are slightly less common.

Chai is tea with a personality upgrade — the kind of tea that doesn’t just sit quietly in the cup but actually shows up. Its black tea dressed in warm spices, a little sweetness, maybe a splash of milk, and suddenly you’ve got something comforting enough to relax you but lively enough to wake up your senses. In many places, chai is how people pause life for a moment, catch up with friends, or share a story. Even when America turned it into the “chai latte,” it’s still the same spiced hug in a cup beneath the foam.

Still Waters takes that classic chai idea and gives it a Steep Me twist — gentle, floral, cozy, and just a little quirky in the best way. It starts with Java Premium Black Tea, which brings a smooth, bold base. Think of it as the steady friend who keeps the whole blend grounded. Then Vanilla Rooibos steps in with its soft, round sweetness — almost like adding a warm blanket around the spices.

And then we get playful with the seed quartet. These are the ingredients that make guests say, “Oh wow, what is that flavor?”

Dill Seed ~ Light, bright, and a tiny bit sweet. It adds a little sparkle — not enough to taste like pickles, just enough to make the chai feel lifted and interesting.

Celery Seed ~ Earthy and savory. It gives the blend a deeper, grounding note so the sweetness doesn’t float away. Most people won’t identify it, but they’ll feel the richness it adds.

Caraway ~ Warm, nutty, and slightly peppery — the cozy flavor you recognize from rye bread. In chai, it adds a nostalgic, old‑world warmth that makes the cup feel extra comforting.

Fennel ~ Sweet, aromatic, and gently licorice‑like. This is the classic chai whisper — the soft sweetness that makes everything feel round and soothing.

And then comes the flourish that makes Still Waters truly yours:

Super Blue French Lavender ~ Soft, floral, creamy, and calming. It drifts through the spices like a ribbon of quiet, adding elegance and a gentle sweetness that melts into the cinnamon finish. It’s the part of the chai that makes people close their eyes for a second.

The whole blend is warm, soothing, floral, and just a little mischievous — familiar enough to feel like chai, but unique enough to make you smile. Don’t be afraid of a long steep; this one gets better the longer it thinks. Add honey or a splash of milk, and you’ve got a cup that feels like a deep breath, a quiet moment, a little bit of Still Waters.
